StartUp MeetUps 2019: Gorey Library, Wexford

Gorey Library, Work Matters StartUp MeetUps 2019 are being held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm in the library. The aim of these meetups is to build a strong network of entrepreneurs, and individuals who are thinking of setting up their own businesses and/or who are in the early stages of trading. Business experts will attend and share their own start-up experiences, knowledge and expertise.

Topics will include:

  • Planning and goal setting
  • Funding and finance
  • Startup stories
  • Marketing
  • GDPR
  • Digital transformation (getting your business online)
  • Members of the group will also be encouraged to put forward topics that they would like to be included in future meetups.

The first meetup will take place on Tuesday 5th of February 2019.


Brendan Fitzpatrick is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers (IMCA) and a UCD Post Graduate in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Enterprise.

He founded – a Consultancy, Mentoring & Facilitation service to help individuals and businesses to Start-up, Scale-up and be Export Ready.  Key Service also includes helping people to explore the feasibility of self-employment or alternatively to obtain employment in their chosen field.


Catherine Duggan, CollaborateTogether.

Catherine Duggan mentors and coaches individuals in the startup sector. Her main areas of expertise are in the entrepreneurship, digital, and IT sectors. She keeps up-to-date with technology trends and is a regular contributor to Irish Tech News.

She has a BSc in Psychology Applied to IT, a CPD in Digital Product Development and Entrepreneurship from DIT and a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Enterprise from UCD Innovation Academy. You can find out more about Catherine on her website ColalborateTogether.
